GENERAL

Where is The Black Women’s Expo venue in Chicago?
The Black Women’s Expo is held at McCormick Place Convention Center, located at 2301 So. Lake Shore Drive. The exhibit hall is in the North Building, Hall C.

What are the Expo show hours?
The Black Women’s Expo show hours are Friday and Saturday, 10:00 am – 7:00 pm, and on Sunday 11:00 am – 6:00 pm.

Who can attend this event?
Everyone is welcome to attend this annual event.

When do tickets go on sale?

Where can I purchase tickets?
The Black Women’s Expo tickets can be purchased on our website, www.theblackwomensexpo.com, or at any Walgreens location in the Chicagoland area a month before the event.

When will the BWe Weekend Agenda be posted on the website?
The agenda, which includes seminar and entertainment schedules, will be announced March 6, 2017. You can sign up to receive updates on our website. In addition, updates will be provided on our social media sites (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram).

What are parking options at McCormick Place Convention Center?
There are three main parking lots in close proximity to the convention center. Lot A is the primary parking lot for the North Building. You can find additional information on parking and directions to the convention center on the following website link,

A limited number of guaranteed parking spaces are available at the rate of $36 per day by advance order of an Exhibitor Parking Permit. This permit allows access to the garages with in-and-out privileges. Parking spaces are guaranteed even if lots fill to capacity.

Is the venue accessible to the disabled community?

Is food available at the Expo?
Yes. Food concessions are located on the Expo exhibit floor and restaurants can be found in the lobby of the North Building before entering the Expo.

What are the nearest hotels in the area?
The Black Women’s Expo host hotel is the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, located at 2233 So. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. For information on room rates, visit our website or call (312)-567-1234. Are Exhibitors, Sponsors & Attendees eligible to receive discounts on hotel rooms at the host hotel?
Yes, there is a discounted room rate through our host hotel, the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. You can access BWe Hotel Reservations through the BWe website.

EXHIBITORS
How do I reserve an exhibit space?
You can access the Application for Exhibit Space at The Black Women’s Expo by visiting the Exhibitor’s tab on our website.

What options do I have for payment?
We accept the following forms of payment – Check, Money Order, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

What is included in the standard booth space?
All 10’ x 10’ booth areas include ID signage, 8’ high back wall drape, 3’ high side wall drape, one (1) skirted table, two (2) chairs, wastebasket, five (5) exhibitor badges, and a business listing in the BWe Welcome Guide.

Will I have to exhibit all 3 days?
Yes, your booth must be manned throughout the 3 days of the Expo.

Is Internet available on the exhibit floor?
Yes, and is available to order through McCormick Place/Technology Services (by emailing technology@mccormickplace.com) for a nominal fee or by calling (312)-791-6113.

Can I sell food in my exhibit space?
Exhibitors are not allowed to sell food items in the convention center for immediate consumption. You are allowed to sell pre-packaged/manufactured food items for attendees to take home and consume. Companies are allowed to sample food products in our Food Oasis for a discounted price. Applications are available upon request by calling (312)-454-6100.

What are BWe Exhibit Move-In & Move-Out Hours?
Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm is for Exhibitor Move-In; and immediately following the conclusion of the Expo on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm is the official Move-Out hours. Corporate sponsors that require additional time for move-out will be extended through Monday, April 10, 2017 from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. Exhibitors are required to utilize and adhere to the McCormick Place ASUV Program on move-in and move-out. Will an Exhibitors Manual be made available?
The BWe Exhibitors Manual with all pertinent information on exhibiting at the Expo will be available on our website beginning in mid-February 2017.

Will there be Security at the Venue?
Yes, security is provided at the Expo beginning on Thursday, April 6 through Monday, April 10 (day and night to secure the venue).

Am I allowed to bring in items to decorate my exhibit space, like additional chairs, tables, carpet, and signage?
Yes, but in bringing in those items, the exhibitor must adhere to the McCormick Place ASUV program rules and stated previously.

How can I participate as a Speaker or Entertainer during The Black Women’s Expo?
All seminar speaker and main stage entertainment inquiries should be sent to tbwe@mgpgevents.com. The appropriate producers will contact you with next steps.

PR & MEDIA

What is the process to receive press credentials for BWe Chicago, if I represent a media organization?
You must complete the press credentials application and sent it in via fax, email or mail. Submitting the application does not guarantee your request to cover the Expo. Our public relations firm representative will contact you with your application status.
